Ver menos\n In view of the environmental crisis that the Mar Menor is currently going through, caused by an accumulation of actions derived from different urban, livestock, agricultural and mining activities, as well as the frenetic growth of tourism in the area surrounding the lagoon ecosystem of the Mar Menor, the aim is to review from a legislative point of view the recognition of rights for the preservation of the marine environment and its species. To do so, we will study the evolution of the rights of nature, the different causes that have led to a fragile and unbalanced ecosystem, and the role assumed by the different responsible and competent public administrations with the capacity to carry out public policies and strategies for the protection and conservation of the Mar Menor ecosystem.
